To be a good fit for the Graphic Design Supervisor opportunity, you will have:

• 5-7 years of graphic design experience

• A bachelor's degree (BA or BFA) in Graphic Design, Web Design or a related area preferred
• Proven graphic design skills demonstrated by a portfolio of work
• Technical skills including:
  • Web design experience; familiarity with Magento and Jira a plus

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, as Graphic Design Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the graphic design activities at Aspen Medical Products, and for creating and driving the overall vision. Daily, you will supervise a team of two graphic designers and direct the design work, including individual assignments and overall workflow. You'll be a hands-on supervisor, accountable for your team's performance, but also responsible for your individual output.

Additionally, you will collaborate with Marketing team members, including your Manager, other designers, marketing specialists and developers, on project development and execution. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Designing and managing projects from the creation of initial concepts through design/layout to the release of production-ready files
• Create print materials, sales charts, logos, advertisements, packaging, labels, product catalogs and more in a manner consistent with Aspen’s visual branding guidelines
• Ensuring all materials (e.g. print, web and other digital) meet visual branding guidelines and are produced in line with the strategic direction of the company
• Identifying design errors and adjusting accordingly
• Working closely with project owners, vendors and other designers to prioritize day-to-day work and set up checkpoints to ensure high standards, quality control and project delivery in a timely manner
• Ensuring all content reflects the “voice” of Aspen and follows the brand and style guidelines. Maintaining electronic files and assets
• Presenting appropriate visual and verbal communication to express the design intent in 2D format
• Managing and updating projects through a project management system
• Taking photos and videos of products/models and editing (photo retouch) accordingly
• Identifying the best layout/design for each social media platform
• Collaborating with Web teams to optimize the website, including eCommerce
• Providing day-to-day project development oversight of department designers
