Reporting to and working together with the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for data analysis, organization, planning, and administration for your assigned areas. This will include supporting transportation management (quoting, scheduling), completing inventory control (inventory transactions, cycle counts), creating documentation (invoicing, shipping documentation, data reports), and managing 3PL processes and procedures. Quick question for you - click here

Most days you’ll begin by completing any transactions needed for the 3PLs (shipping, receiving) and ensuring those are completed in a timely way. Then you’ll spend time on data analysis and cycle count, as well as inventory reconciliations. For the rest of the day, you’ll work on ongoing projects. To complete your work and ensure all questions are answered, you’ll interact with internal cross-functional teams by phone, email, or web meeting, including Finance, Planning, Customer Service, and more. You’ll also interact directly with our external 3PL vendors.

While your main goals will be to complete transactions and reconciliations quickly and correctly, you will also always be on the lookout for potential issues, or potential areas for cost savings, and bring those to your manager’s attention. Most of your time will be spent on analysis and research of discrepancies and loss, and on pulling data to create reports.

Some of your specific tasks will be to:
  • Support our International shipping function to efficiently and effectively meet customer’s expectations and Aspen business goals.
  • Help support global inventory control processes to ensure high inventory accuracy globally with an efficient & effective control process. This includes daily cycle count activities and weekly inventory reconciliation in IQMS for all 3PL distributions worldwide.
  • Collect data from internal (IQMS) and external sources for KPIs, metrics, and Logistics management dashboard.
  • Conduct data mining and data analysis to find trends, patterns and opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Assist in quoting, managing, and scheduling transportation partners.
  • Manage intercompany transfers (ICTs) and create ICTs for inventory movements between warehouses and 3PLs including shipping, tracking, and receiving to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Update the In-Transit log daily with tracking information from multiple carriers. Communicate with customer service, sales, and demand planning for customer drop shipment tracking. Follow up with carriers for most accurate ETA for inbound and resolution for packages lost in transit.
  • Manage and support (receiving) RMA for all 3PL distributions worldwide by communicating with customer service and Quality team on status.

Visibility and impact
Keeping proper track of inventory is a huge part of ensuring any company runs smoothly. As part of our lean department, you’ll be a key part in making that happen for Aspen. We often work with senior leadership, such as the VP of Operations, and you can be sure they will know your name and your successes will be noted.

Great team
The Logistics department is a positive, open-armed, upbeat place to work, and the team will be happy to help you learn and grow. Everyone here is willing to step in and help each other, and you’ll find your manager to be personable, approachable, and an excellent mentor to help you build your career. He wants everyone to feel welcome and is open to your suggestions for the department.

Training and professional development
Initially, you’ll complete in-house and on-the-job training on our company, products, and processes. However, as you discover educational needs that go beyond our internal training program, we offer a generous educational reimbursement to help you take job-related courses or earn certifications. Aspen is growing fast, and along with our growth, there are many opportunities for us to promote from within. Once you find success in this role you may choose to pursue a senior or management level position in Logistics, or possibly move to another department.

Autonomy and support
We'll look to you to achieve goals independently and assume ownership of your areas of responsibility. At the same time, you'll have support when you need it and plenty of opportunities to collaborate. Our goal is to set you up for success and support you when needed.

Award-winning products enhance the quality of people's lives
Backed by over 25 years of R&D, Aspen Medical Products help patients cope with chronic conditions, manage pain, and heal faster (see testimonials in the video on The Role tab). You will find a close-knit culture that values mutual respect at Aspen. The numerous "Best Places to Work" awards we've won represent high levels of employee satisfaction (as reported by employees) as well as excellence in benefits, pay, work/life balance and culture. While COVID has dampened our ability to get together outside of the office, we hope that we’ll soon be able to get back to enjoyable events that build our camaraderie, such as group picnics and outings.

The health, satisfaction and security of you and your family are important to your well-being and important to us. We offer a competitive salary and annual bonus; medical, dental and vision benefits for you and your family; life insurance; paid vacation; education reimbursement for job-related courses; and a 401(k) plan with company match.

We are looking for a Logistics professional with enough experience to hit the ground running even as you get up to speed on our company and processes. However, just as important as your skills and experience will be your ability to fit into the company culture and work well with the rest of the team, understanding that we all rely on each other. Logistics is the last link in the supply chain, and everyone along the line depends on us to get our job done. This can sometimes create a stressful environment, so our ideal candidate is someone who can stay positive under pressure, answering questions with a smile and a can-do attitude.

In addition, to be an outstanding Logistics Analyst you will:
  • Be clear, accurate, and pay close attention to detail
  • Take a proactive approach to quickly getting up to speed with our processes, technologies, and products
  • Continue to expand your knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis
  • Take ownership of your role and manage your responsibilities independently, but also know when to ask for help
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing with others
  • Combine analytical skills with creativity in solving problems
  • Keep a constant eye out for ways to improve processes
If this sounds like the right mix of challenge and opportunity, and you meet the minimum requirements, we look forward to hearing from you.
